My Omni Houston Hotel Staycation

My stay was compensated in exchange for an honest review
Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to stay two nights at the newly renovated Omni Houston Hotel in the Galleria area.  Omni was the official hotel sponsor of the 13th Annual Winter Holiday Art Market and was offering Art package staycations for the weekend. I was invited to stay at the hotel and share with all of you my experience at Omni! Check-in was Friday the 16th and I invited Heather ( to stay with me! Heather, as you all know is one of my best gal pals and blogger buddies, but she recently moved to Arizona. She was back in town the weekend of my stay so I thought it'd be cool to hang out and catch up.

The first thing we did was check out the lobby and the hotel room.  Prior to my arrival, I looked up some photos of the Omni. I had been before, but it was years ago. They have a popular nightclub called Black Swan, and I was there before, but couldn't 100% remember what the hotel portion looked like.  Online they had renderings of the future renovations for Omni, so I assumed some portions of the hotel would still be under construction. However, the majority of the hotel was complete! They were still working on the pool and spa areas, but everything else was done.  The hotel looked amazing! It also had that brand new, after construction feel and smell.

We didn't spend too much time exploring the hotel Friday night, because we headed to WHAM's VIP Preview Night (more on WHAM in a future blog post).  The next day, we woke up early to enjoy breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and explore more of the hotel. The pool area was really nice. I only wished it had been warmer so I could have jumped in! I was really, REALLY impressed with the conference rooms and event spaces. They are great spaces for meetings and conferences. Saturday night after a full day of outings, I ordered room service and chilled in the hotel. The TV is pretty cool too. You can connect your phone to the TV to control the remote, and also log into your Hulu, Netflix accounts. I was pretty slow to check out on Sunday. In fact, I asked for a late checkout. I didn't want to leave! Keep scrolling to see photos from the hotel! I also linked to my FB album that has all of the photos.
