FANDEMIC TOUR: Costumes & Cosplayers

Friday, October 26, 2018

Another favorite part of Comic Conventions for me is checking out the cosplayers and people wearing costumes.  What's the difference between a Cosplayer and someone wearing a costume. The simple answer is a Cosplayer makes the majority of their costume.  I admire cosplayers.  It can be an expensive hobby, and you have to have some talent to sew, and put things together.  It's a lot of work.  I like to make things easy and I'll typically purchase a costume, but this year I didn't dress up as anything. Wearing a costume can be annoying when you're trying to take photos, etc, and I just wanted to comfortably cover the first Houston Fandemic Tour.  This allowed me to easily capture cosplayers and costumers at the convention! Scroll down to see some of the fabulous costumes!

Cosplay is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear self-made costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. **
