COSPLAYERS UNITE: Comicpalooza 2018

Sunday, June 24, 2018

They came, they saw, they conquered.  Who? Cosplayers.  Cosplay is synonymous with Comic Conventions, and one of the many things I look forward to seeing at Comicpalooza. The official definition of Cosplay is as follows:

the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game, especially one from the Japanese genres of manga and anime.

I'm most impressed with guests that make their own costumes.  Sure, anyone can go online and probably order a costume to wear to a convention, but it takes a bit more effort to make your own, or put together your costume yourself.  The tenth installment of Comicpalooza did not disappoint with cosplayers.  They even have a Cosplayer Competition near the end of the evening each night.  Walking around the convention for 3 days, I captured a lot of great costumes! Do you recognize any of the characters below?

There were a bunch of Wonder Womans, but this is the only Diana Prince I saw that dressed up as WW in her scene from the new movie when she was about to kill Ludendorff.  I love that this lady decided to capture another look by Wonder Woman, besides the traditional skimpy outfit.

What did you think of the costumes? Any favorites?
