DISCOVER: The Houston Rental Studio

Tuesday, June 13, 2017

A while back I attended the grand opening of a new photography studio in Houston, call The Houston Rental Studio. The Studio is owned by Houston Photographer, Muttley Escobar. and located in the old R. B. Everett Building.  I learned about the grand opening event via Leena, who was attending the event with her boyfriend Andy and hair stylist extraordinaire and friend Anita. I had another event beforehand, so I met up with them there a little later.   With 8,000 sq ft to play with, there's a lot of space to create your vision.   It's also very affordable! With rates as low as $50/hr you can choose from several rental options to suit your needs. If I was a professional photographer, I would DEFINITELY take advantage of this space.  To learn more about the studio, scroll to the bottom of this post for contact information!

I always feel a little nervous showing up to photography events. I'm a photo enthusiast and I love taking photos, but I by no means consider myself a professional.  I only just started shooting in manual! Ha. But all of the people at the studio were super welcoming to me. I even met photographers that were willing to give me tips for how to shoot with my DSLR! It was such a great event being with people who want to share and help you grow in your photography. I really appreciated the professionals at the event taking the time to give back to us amateurs!

I had a lot of fun roaming around the studio space and taking photos. I love taking photos of objects or interesting architecture. I love taking photos so much that I started a new instagram account just dedicated to some of my favorite photos! If you're interested in following my photography account, head to!
