The Houston Auto Show is in town for it's 34th installment!  Known as the largest auto show in the south, this is definitely an event not to be missed. The show officially opened on April 5th and runs until April 9th, so you still have time to purchase a ticket and check it out for yourself! Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children.  Tons of car makers are in attendance to show off their latest models.  There are several ride and drive experiences around the event as well, including a test drive with Jeep and Dodge Ram that showcases how their vehicles handle off-roading, and heavy loads. The below floor map shows everything that's going on at the show.  This was my first time attending the Houston Auto Show, and I have the lovely writers at She Buys Cars to thank for the opportunity to attend as press!

As press, we were able to attend the Preview Night Gala on Tuesday night and check out all of the cars in advance. The theme of the gala was 007 James Bond, and the dress attire was cocktail. There were food stations everywhere, glittery decor, and a live band.   We had the opportunity to meet with some of the brand representatives in advance and mingle with other car enthusiasts. I was having so much fun at the preview night, that I totally lost track of time.  I was shocked when the announcement came on that we only had 15 minutes left to enjoy the evening!  Sadly, we had to leave, but I captured some great moments from the gala below:

What better car to pick to be featured for 007 night than an Aston Martin. I've always loved Aston Martin. They are very sexy cars, and I'll take any of the actors that have played James Bond to drive around with me as well! hahaha

Floor Tour
Scotty from She Buys Cars was gracious enough to take all of us influencers around for a floor tour! She offered some amazing information about some of the brands during the tour. For instance, did you know that they man who designs the cars for Kia used to design for Audi?

Kia's section. I'm not going to lie. I used to have a bad stigma about Kias, but they have come a long way and are definitely an affordable, viable and impressive car option!
Everyone knows that I have special place in my heart for Toyota. I love their brand! Their cars are so reliable, and I had my Camry FOREVER.  And even though I drive a Lexus now, I'm still in the family, and I love staying with a reliable car brands.
The featured car for Toyota at the Auto Show is the CHR. Toyota has moved from the Scion brand, and they still want a car that attracts a millenial driver on a budget, but looks great...enter the CHR, which stands for Coupe High Rider.

I like the engines that were on display at some of the car brands. As an engineer, the inner workings of a car have always intrigued me. This engine is on display at Toyo
And if you wanted to have some fun at Toyota, they had a green screen photo booth, that made you look like a BMX rider, or an awesome skateboarder!
Whenever I think of Hondas, I think of Fast and the Furious, teehee. The newer body styles that Honda has converted too are very aggressive. I love the newer body styles. I'm not a big fan of boxy looking cars, and to me the 4-door accords and civics always had a boxy look, but the new Civics have aggressive styling with sleek lines!
