WHAT I WORE: Ashley Nell Tipton

Saturday, January 28, 2017

While I've lost some weight due to being sick last year, I'm still plus-size. I've now come to embrace my plus-size figure. I struggled with it for awhile, but I'm starting to feel that I may always be plus-size and instead of fighting it, I should embrace my size and my curves.  I will still work on having a healthier lifestyle, aka eating better and exercising, but I may never be small again, and I'm finally ok with it! Having that said, now that I've lost some weight, I've gone down a few sizes in some of my favorite plus-size brands. One of my recent favorites is Ashley Nell Tipton's Boutique+ Collection for JcPenny.  Ashley Tipton's name may sound familiar to you if you watch Project Runway. Ashley was the first plus-size designer to win Project Runway! It was a huge day for the plus-size community, and I told myself I would support Ashley any way I could.

Standing near this awesome statue that had replicas of the heroes of the Alamo. This is the spot where they're bodies were burned by Santa Anna.
When I found out that she was releasing a collection for JcPenny, I had to check it out.  I love JcPenny on a regular day, but now they have cute plus-size clothes from Ashley, so I'll be visiting even more.  I packed this crop-top with me to go to San Antonio with my parents. I own a ton of crop tops, but this one is quickly becoming my favorite because it's different. I love that it's a button-up and I love the winged sleeves.  It was the perfect weather in San Antonio to wear this top.  I took several photos with this look at the hotel and at the Alamo.

What's an outfit, unless you take a photo in front of a Christmas tree?
