WHAT I WORE: Fringe Sleeve Dress

Monday, April 04, 2016

For about 20 days, Houston was consumed with rodeo fever, or maybe it was just me. Every March, RodeoHouston comes to town, and it's actually one of my favorite activities that I discovered about Houston. This year I attended the rodeo 4 times! A record for me, since I usually go 2 times at most. This year I was lucky to obtain some concert tickets, or be invited by friends who had tickets as well. Concert Tickets? If you're unfamiliar with the Houston Rodeo, every night after the rodeo events there's a live concert by a well-known band or musician. This year I saw Jason Derulo, Miranda Lambert, Pitbull, and Brad Paisley. I of course pull out all the stops when it comes to dressing for the rodeo. Western wear, is one of my favorite categories of fashion. I can't get enough fringe, cowboy hat, belt buckles and boots.

Today's post is featuring one of the looks I wore to the Rodeo last month. I picked up this fun dress from Forever 21 just before the rodeo started. As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be mine!  It's a semi-fitted, sleeveless dress with fringe details off the sleeve. I like that it was black, because it would allow any jewelry I wore with it to stand out!  And as if by cue, my Kendra Scott necklace was the perfect match for this dress. I feel like Kendra Scott's jewelry is perfect for the rodeo, and apparently so does every other woman who attended the rodeo. I saw a million women wearing Kendra Scott pieces. Anyway, how would you style this dress? I'm looking forward to the next time I get to wear it to style it differently!
