EVENT RECAP: Houston Fashion Bloggers' Last Hoorah Holiday Party

Tuesday, December 29, 2015

On December 4th, the Houston Fashion Bloggers hosted their last Holiday & Anniversary party titled, "The Last Hoorah". After a 4-year existence as an organization, I made the bittersweet decision to close the organization at the end of the year. There were many reasons behind closing the organization, but I look forward to seeing what all of our bloggers accomplish in their blogging careers! It was nice to have one last "going out with a bang" shindig before closing up shop! HFB Chair, Taylor Brione, Membership Chair, Tammy Smith, and PR Guru Paige Harris successfully put on another great party and everyone in attendance had a lot of fun! The party was held at the new Lily Rain store near the Galleria area of Houston. You may remember that I had my blog's anniversary party at Lily Rain back in February, but I held it at their other location in Houston's Rice Village Shopping Center.

The HFB #LastHoorah Party was held from 7 pm - 10 pm and a percentage of proceeds from the event benefited The Children's Assessment Center. Guests were asked to bring toy donations to give to the charity as well! We were grateful to have Kroger sponsor our food again with savory sandwiches, a meat and cheese tray and yummy cupcakes. A few brands/boutiques that our bloggers worked with throughout the year donated items for raffle prizes. Each guest received a raffle ticket upon arrival, but they could buy more tickets, with the raffle ticket sales also going to the charity. Thank you to all of our Holiday Party sponsors this year!! Near the end of the event we announced the 2015 winners of our HFB Awards!
