WHAT I WORE: Black & Blue - Domestic Violence

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

The first season of Empire has been done for awhile, but I still have that soundtrack on lock and repeat! Ha! One of my favorite songs from the album, is Black & Blue by  V. Bozeman. It's a deep song that struck a nerve with me, because it discusses domestic violence. Domestic Violence is a very real problem that I feel is constantly swept under the rug. Women, men, and children are being hurt daily by those who claim to love them and not speaking out. We need to be there to support them, and help them in every way that we can. I've played the song so much since the show ended, that the colors black and blue are permanently stuck in my head, and while they represent the color of bruises in the song, I've decided to use the color combo for a positive outfit inspiration. Hopefully the combination of black and blue in clothing form is the only time you or a loved one will ever see these colors on your skin.  If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, please don't wait until it's too late:
