LLIS TRAVEL: Market Street 4th of July Parade

Tuesday, July 07, 2015

I LOVE PARADES. Seriously, you would think I was 5. When I checked into Hyatt Market Street Hotel, Friday night, there was a note at the front desk advising about a 4th of July parade that would be happening early Saturday morning. Even better? The parade was taking place at Market Street right in front of the hotel! The paraded started at 9 am, and I admit, that I headed down to the patio area of the hotel in my pajamas (sacrilege).  I was able to get a few good photos from the patio, but I wanted to be in the thick of things. I headed downstairs and outside into the crowd and made my way over to where the Master of Ceremonies was stationed. I made it just in time for the girl who sang the Star-Spangled Banner in front of the colorguard. The parade featured a plethora of things from politicians, hospitals, marching bands, floats, and more! My favorite part of any parade are the marching bands (I was in marching band in high school and will forever be a band nerd.)
