Last month I was invited to attend a private screening of Fox's new TV Show Empire.  The event was held at Hotel Sorella at City Centre.  It was a fun event! There was food, dancing, a step & repeat, and of course the opportunity to watch the pilot episode of Empire before the rest of the world! I really liked the pilot. A few too many curse words for my liking, but I liked the overall story line. All the characters have in depth situations going on that lead them to the course of actions they take.  There's flashbacks, and a slew of great actors: Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, etc.  Also, all of the music for the show is produced by Timbaland! He's one of the greatest producers of our time, for ALL music,...not just "rap/hip-hop".  The show immediately caught my attention with the opening scene featuring a young female recording artist being coached to show more emotion in her song, after that...I was hooked! Hahaha. I also really love Taraji's role as Cookie. Cookie Don't Play, #TeamCookie!! Anyway the show officially premiered on Fox last week, on January 7th, and tonight is episode 2. If you haven't watched it yet, you're definitely missing out!

*I did not have my camera during the screening since I came directly from work. Please excuse the lower quality cell phone pictures.*

  1. I loved show especially Taraji Henson's character Cookie. This show reminds me of the New York undercover days on Fox.
