DISCOVER: Americas a Cordua Restaurant

Wednesday, August 06, 2014

This post comes at a great time, since Americas Woodlands location is on the list of restaurants participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks, and after you see all the yummy food I sampled, I'm sure you'll be making a reservation ASAP! Saturday morning of our #GOHOUSTONGNO trip we were privy to a private breakfast at America's The Woodlands.  The restaurant normally opens around 10:30/11am, but they opened at 9:30 am for us to come in and sample all of their goodies from the breakfast buffet.

Lol, when I arrived I thought either I had the wrong place, or they weren't opened yet and we our times wrong. Come to find out, no one else would be there because we were there an hour before the restaurant officially opened!
This is the upstairs at Americas. This is their bar/lounge area.
I definitely need to come back here at night! How cute are these private coves and lounge seats?
Definitely my type of place! I love anything swank!
To the right, when you walk in, there's another dining area which you can reserve for private parties and events.
The formal dining room is actually the basement...8 feet underground! How unique!

Quaint room with the waterwall is available for private parties & events.
Our table set and ready for the #GOHOUSTONGNO Bloggers. I loved that our table was right near the patio. We had an amazing view of the man-made river and outdoor dining area.

Plantain Chips
More dessert than anyone could eat in an entire lifetime!

Bread Pudding

I snapped the girls in the mirror ordering their omelets with our gracious host!

This was absolutely the best Mimosa I've ever had in my life. It straight up tasted like they squeezed a fresh orange to make my orange juice!
My sampling of desserts! I was so full, that I was only able to get a bite out of each one...but they were scrumptious!
I loved the decor all around Americas! Even down to this mosaic piece.
Pretty flowers and one of the waitstaff members wanted to pose for a pic!
