WHAT I WORE: Mini Sequin Dress

Monday, May 05, 2014

It's no secret that I LOVE dressing up! In fact, if I could wear a sparkly, sequin dress to work everyday I would!! For the TBLE Gala, I wanted to wear one of the many dresses that I've had in my closet that I haven't had the chance to wear yet. However, this is not the first time this dress is appearing on the blog. It is, however, the dress is appearing on the blog with me wearing it.  I used this dress in my first Great Day Houston TV segment, and had one of my models, Tashia Chatman wearing the dress. I decided this dress was the perfect dress for a 'Black & White' Masquerade Ball.  Since the dress was all black I wanted my accessories to have some color to them, so I paired the dress with my blue-purple, bedazzled heels from Aldo, and my custom purple masquerade mask fascinator. My friend and fashion blogger buddy, Heather Petrey of LA Fashion Snob made the fascinator mask for me last year, and it was the PERFECT accessory to wear to the gala.

When wearing a dress that has so much going on, I tend to steer clear of necklaces, or if I really have to wear a necklace, I opt for a very understated one. Since this dress has sequins and a higher neckline I decided to stay away from a necklace and go with danging earrings. Well I can't say I totally opted away from a necklace, I just decided not to wear it around my neck. Instead I wrapped the necklace around my wrist.
