WHAT I WORE: Lace Maxi Dress

I love the great outdoors, despite my outdoor allergies. Buttttt let's be clear...when I say great outdoors I don't mean camping & wilderness. I mean parks and festivals, or outdoor shopping malls, lol! Anyway, a few weeks ago I went to the last day of the Bayou City Arts Festival at Memorial Park. It was SUCH a great day to be outdoors. For my look, I decided to go all 'Festival-Attire' and wear a maxi-dress. This particular maxi-dress was purchased in September 2013, but this was my first time wearing it...I tend to do this a lot, where I buy clothes and either forget about them, or don't wear them for months. I need to do better. Anyway, the maxi dress was the perfect outfit for the festival. It's a strapless maxi, and since I'm not a fan of strapless bras, I still wore a bra with straps and added the vest to cover the bra straps.  I also like that the dress came with a belt, and cute belt at that! A slim, woven brown belt.  To complete the look I added my new shoes that I won at the Franco Sarto Meet & Greet at Nordstrom.

I like to play with the filters built into my camera. This shot was obviously black and white but posterized black and white
Since my dress was green, I tried the 'green only' filter, but it most picked up the grass and dress...my dress looks kind of grey.
Ok, ok, back to color. I love the contrast of my reddish-orange hair with the green of the dress

I thought these pieces were really cool, and would be great in a house, but knowing me they would probably scare me in the middle of the night! lol

Cattle couch anyone?
Talk about Food Truck overloard! There were tons of food trucks to choose from, but at the end of the day I opted for the Grilled Cheese truck. Seriously? How could anyone pass up a Grilled Cheese food truck!?
