PRODUCT REVIEW: Hari Mari Shoes - More than just Flip Flops

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

About a week or so ago, I was approached by Hari Mari, a Dallas-Based shoe company, to share their story with all of you.  Hari Mari's specialty is comfortable flip flops.  The brand was created out of necessity after the owners could not find comfortable flip-flops in color offerings other than brown and black.  They wanted to have the best of both worlds (comfort and color options) so Hari Mari was born.  In addition to creating comfy flip flops, Hari Mari gives back! $3 from every flip flop sale goes to charities that help kids fighting cancer receive treatment.  Well, that last part was all I really needed to hear to share their story with all of you.  I love that fashion companies are becoming more conscious of the plight of others. From improving working conditions to donating proceeds to charity. To share their story I wanted to do a product review to show you how I would style their flip flops and see if they were really as comfy as they said they were! You know I tell the truth!  Trenny with Hari Mari told me to head on over to their site and pick out a pair.

Hari Mari has 3 kinds of flip flops; Lakes, Scouts, & Parks. I checked out each design to see which one I liked the best.  I really had a hard time choosing so I basically just gave them my shoe size and told them to surprise me! They sent me the pair I'm wearing in my pictures. They are Scouts with orange uppers.
Tan & Pink
The Lakes come in 3 base colors, Tan, Light Grey and Dark Grey with a pop of color on the inside of the uppers and on the stripe going around the sole.
Mint & Orange
The Scouts come with a tan base with two-town color options for the uppers. There is no sole stripe on the Scouts.
Black & Periwinkle
The Parks come with a nude/white base with 2-tone color options for the uppers

Ok, I barely had these flip flops on before I decided that they were my favorite flip flops ever! They are soooooo comfy! I really think it's the extra arch support that they have! I literally could walk around in these all day, everyday. Sadly wearing flip-flops to my engineering job is not an option :-(.  To style these bright beauties I paired them with my reddish-orange tank from Forever 21 and recently discovered scarf from Desigual.  Desigual gifted all of us with these scarves at their Spring 2014 Fashion Show last September and I just now opened the package! Don't judge me! I couldn't have opened it at the better time, since it's definitely a spring scarf. It's actually wide enough to be considered a wrap.  I purposely paired these flip flops with bright colors, but I would also pair them against neutrals, i.e. just a pair of jeans and a white top, etc.

Hari Mari took extra time in designing these flip flops. You can read more about the design in detail here, but here is a quick summary. The toe post (the part that goes between your big toe and 2nd toe) is made out of memory foam to reduce abrasion.  The materials are premium from full-grain leather to nylon to increase their lifetime.  They are boat-safe, meaning they are non-marking and help improve grip on wet surfaces.  What more could a person want!??!

Thank you Hari Mari for sending me these awesome flip flops! I will definitely be adding more to my shoe aresenal! Just in time for Summer!

  2. You are so pretty! I am a BIG shoe person and since I live in Florida I mostly wear flip flops. I'm always looking for comfortable and sturdy flip flops. I am disabled and some times not to steady on my feet. I intend on buying a pair due to your very convincing review, and they look hot. Thanks for listening.
