WHAT I WORE: New Year's Day 2014

Thursday, January 02, 2014

So I didn't go out for New Year's Eve. I really wasn't feeling "going out" and I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that I had to work.  I ran out of vacation days, and pretty much worked the holiday season...so getting off at 6:30pm and then running home to try and go out just seemed annoying. I stayed at home and hung out with a couple of friends at my house. I had a plethora of Smirnoff Vodka bottles, courtesy of Smirnoff and on my way home, I stopped by the store and picked up a bottle of sparkling wine, and a whole bunch of unhealthy snacks...lol! The plan was to stuff our faces and watch the ball drop, however silly me forgot about the time difference and missed the EAST COAST  ball drop.

For New Years day however I decided to leave the house! I met up for brunch with my friend Liz....or at least we tried to meet up for brunch. I really wanted to go to Treebeards, and I guess I thought most restaurants would be OPEN on New Year's Day....Nope....Wrong! We walked to a few restaurants in the nearby vicinity and ended up at Hotel Icon's restaurant: Line & Lauriat for their buffet brunch.
