SMIRNOFF HUB RECIPE: National Hot Tea Month

Saturday, January 18, 2014

Are you enjoying a hot and steamy January?
Yes? Well done.

No? You must have missed the memo. January is national Hot Tea Month! And what better time of year than January to experiment with the flavors and techniques that make this timeless, beloved beverage so delicious . Try the tips below as you explore some hot teas this month to stay warm and celebrate all that Hot Tea Month has to offer!

  • Try black teas with wintry flavors, like ginger and cardamom, with or without milk.

  • If you like your tea sweet, experiment with honey or even a touch of maple syrup instead of refined sugar.

  • Drink non-caffeinated herbal teas as an easy way to get your eight glasses of water a day.

  • Have no fear of looseleaf teas. There are adorable and easy-to-use tea infusers in lots of shapes and styles. Looseleaf tea can also be fresher than tea bags.

  • Spike it! Skip the honey and opt for a splash (1.5 oz.) of SMIRNOFF Wild Honey Flavored Vodka instead. Try this ‘cockteal’ with ginger black tea.

  • Disclosure: I am working in partnership with the SMIRNOFF brand and I am receiving rewards for my participation in this campaign. All thoughts/opinions are 100% my own. Drink is intended for those for whom alcohol is legal and appropriate. Please Drink Responsibly!
