I have been dying for this hat since February, 2013 when I randomly stopped in Pavement with Mara of Malibu Mara after my Blogger Anniversary party at DuO.  Westheimer in Houston between Sheperd and Waugh as a lot of great places to shop. From antique collectible stores, to American Apparel.  I like shopping in stores like Pavement and Taxi Taxi, because you'll never know what interesting things you'll find, like this hat. I didn't buy the hat in February because I didn't have a use for it as we were moving into warmer weather, but for the end of summer weather in Manhattan for New York Fashion Week? Perfect accessory.  I can't really tell you why I paired this hat with this romper.  Sometimes I don't even know myself why I put things together, I just knew it would work. I really love the plus-size offerings from Forever 21, especially this romper, it looked so cute on the model, and I loved the sheer neckline and peter pan collar and wanted it for myself! This might have been my most popular look during Fashion Week.  I received many compliments with my Day 4 ensemble.  Needless to say I also brought my stowaway flats with me because no matter how cute these heeled booties are my feet were not standing in them all day! lol.

Hat: Pavement (Local clothing boutique in Houston)

Booties: Impo (DSW)
Belt: Merona (Target)
Sunglasses: Michael Kors

I got home late to the hotel on Day 3, after an off-site fashion show at Eyebeam Studio and going out with the Fashion Mingle Media Team to a bar called The Press Lounge (isn't that ironic that the bar we were hanging out in was called the press lounge and we were in New York as the Media Team!) at Inc 48 Hotel, and then off to eat at this 24 hour diner called Market Diner. Both locations were located in Hell's Kitchen.  This is really my first time in New York exploring all of the different neighborhoods! I went to Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen, SoHo (been here before, but on the list), Meat Packing District, Lower East Side, Upper East Side, & Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I took my outfit photos in the hotel lobby as it was 2/3am in the morning and I knew I wouldn't bother anyone! I love the murals inside the hotel! They make for a great backdrop in photos!
