WHAT I WORE: For the Roadtrip Home

The Full Ensemble
For Day 3 of the Texas Style Council, I had to be strategic with my outfit, because whatever I wore to the last sessions, I would be wearing to drive us back to Houston as we had to check out before the conference was over. During my last minute shopping trip the Friday before, I picked up this cool cut-out top from New York & Company. In my mind I had paired it with a pair of jeans, but when it came time to leave, I wanted to wear these comfy lace shorts for the ride home.  I love my jeans, but I like to wear comfy clothes when road tripping and these shorts have an elastic waistband, no belt needed.  I tried them on together and liked the style.  I also was determined to wear my white fascinator. I've had this headband for FOREVER and have never worn it, so I thought why not? And as an added bonus, I added my new vintage cat-eye sunglasses purchased at The Height of Vintage at the Fashion Truck Festival

    1. Thanks Berty! I thought it would be cool, and then they don't detract from all of the patterns and texture up top!

  3. I really really love your shorts. I want a similar pair but I want them to have a high-waist. Your sunglasses totally pull the whole look together.
