THE EVENT: Vendor Blender Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Monday, July 08, 2013

Total Beauty Ladies Event held their kick-off event for their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign on June 22nd, titled Professional Appreciation and Vendor Blender Networking Mixer.  3 of the vendors were presented with "TBLE Professional of the Year" nominations; Telly Arnold, LaWanda Noel, & Betty McGee. You can check out their interviews HERE on my blog.  Betty McGee was the ultimate winner of the   title, and will receive a featured story by me for TBLE's first ever print magazine coming out in October.  The event itself was very nice! It was held at Zanzibar Lounge. This was my first time at Zanzibar, and I hope it's not my last! I really liked it!!   I arrived a bit early to conduct the interviews, and hung out with the vendors as they were setting up.  As soon as the event officially started I was first in line to get a free massage for 5 minutes, and then proceeded to pay $1/minute for 5 more minutes. This may not have been the best idea because after the massage, I wanted to knock out! Haha!

More guests began to arrive at 6:30. There was a cash bar, lite bites, and fun jams by DJ Party Man. Shunte and I are always jamming at her events, so when the Wobble came on we had to go in.  Eventually Shunte got up to talk about the nominations and award the TBLE Professional of the Year.  She also had time for Command the Crowd in which some of the vendors took the stage to talk about their organizations.
