THE EVENT: BHLDN event with Sarah Copeland

Wednesday, April 03, 2013

On Saturday I attended a really great event at Beholden (BHLDN).  This was my first time inside the store.  I haven't had a need to go in there because I assumed the store focused on the "Bride-to-Be", and  they do, but they also have items for EVERYONE from special occasion dresses to party decor to bowties & cufflinks for men.  I was at BHLDN for their event with New York City food expert Sarah Copeland. Sarah wrote The Newlywed Cookbook and was there for a book signing and recipe tasting.  Last week I hosted a giveaway for a signed copy of The Newlywed Cookbook in honor of the event and Alba was the winner! Congrats to her!  As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with BHLDN! Everything from the set-up for the event, to the normal merchandise and ambience of the store.

The recipe samples from Sarah's cookbook. They were delicious by the way.

BHLDN is broken down into separate rooms: Special Occasion, Decor, Shoes & Accessories and the Display of Gowns room.

In the display of vintage inspired gowns I mingled with fellow Houston Fashion Bloggers, Katy, Nikki, and Taylor.

On our way to the other room we stopped and had some Sangria Wine by Sociologie.  Sociologie Wine was started by Amy Hampton out of Dallas/Fortworth. I'm in love with the wine bottles! They are so fashionable!
