WHAT I WORE: Thursday Night Out

Monday, November 12, 2012

This post will debut the first time I'm wearing my hair "Oh So Natural" on my blog. I'm not a natural hair blogger, so I won't be talking about my hair that often, but I am on the path to long, natural hair so there will be periodic updates from time to time. I've been transitioning from relaxed hair for a few months now which is why I've been wearing so many wigs. I was really struggling with trying to style MY  hair while it was two different textures. so I made the decision to chop of the relaxed part. So last Friday I went to Inspiration's Muse Mom (she's my natural hair care stylist at her Salon EP Natural Hair Care) and had her chop it off.  Viola the mini-fro! It took some getting used to at first, but now I like it! However this is not THE END of the wigs, but for now I'm going to experiment with my natural hair! I also think wearing my wigs help protect my hair from the elements, the same way other transitioners wear braids, twists or weaves. I'm a bit traumatize because my last weave broke some of my hair off, so I went with wigs.

Anyway off of the hair...last Thursday was a busy night for me! It was my first night jumping back into the Houston Fashion Scene after being sick for a week and a half with a #coldturnedbronchitis. Of course it wasn't an easy jump as there were at least 6 events that night that I was invited too, but I made it to 3 (technically 4, but the party was pretty much over at the 4th event)! This is the look I chose to wear for the events.
