WHAT I WORE: Abstract Batwing Top

Monday, October 15, 2012

Last Friday, I attended Lakewood Church's Annual Fall Fashion Extravaganza.  This year's theme was Designed to Shine, and the proceeds benefited Victoria Olsteen's Child Literacy Program.  This is what I wore to the event.  I'm a big fan of batwing tops, and I like this one, because it lets me cinch the waist.  I think I also like batwings, because I feel like I'm wearing a cape. The color palette of this top also appealed to me with the yellows and browns.  I chose to wear my second pair of MTTheory sunglasses with this outfit, because their woodgrain detail really matched the look, along with my wooden earrings. To complete the look I added my fave pair of brown suede T-strap pumps.

  1. that top is adorable on you. I love the flowy sleeves and the cinched draw string under the bust accentuates your figure. Almost every time I buy empire waist tops they cinch in the middle of my bust instead of under it. I've learned to try em on first now ;)
