Wednesday, August 15, 2012 is one of my sponsors (check my left sidebar) and they offered me the chance to do a product review on a pair of sunglasses for my blog.   For some reason, I've been really crazy about sunnies lately and couldn't pass up the chance to try out another pair.  I chose this pair by North Beach called Guam.  I think this may be the first pair of obvious butterfly shades that I own. When I first asked what type of sunglass frame I liked, I had no idea...I really hadn't researched it that much. I think I was just trying them on and picking ones with details that I liked.  However I tried out Sunglasses Shop Face Shape Guide, and turns out I'm an oval.  I had fun figuring this out in my bathroom mirror with lipstick, and lucky for me, almost ANY eyeglass frame works with my face type oval, so I chose butterfly.

Sunglasses Shop is based in the UK, but they ship to the US.  My package  arrived pretty quickly, and  wrapped up protectively.  They also came with a carry pouch. It's nice to have the pouch to carry them in...initially. I have to admit that I'm the worst when it comes to carrying around eyeglass cases and pouches. More often than not I will loose them, but they are great to protect your sunnies!

Up close they look fairly transparent without a lot of tint, but from a distance, like in my outfit shots they are dark. I love having both options in sunnies. Sometimes you want to be able to see as much true color and tint as you can while still protecting your eyes, and sometimes you want to hide your eyes fro the world. Now the butterfly polarised sticker on the bottom came off, but I swear the words polarised at the top doesn't come off and that's one negative thing about them. I don't like to have "writing" on my lenses. I'm going to contact the rep at Sunglasses Shop and ask if that just stays there forever or is there something special I need to do to remove it.
I really liked the metal trim around the arms
All in all the glasses were cool, they aren't overpriced (Retail for $39.58), and I think this frame shape fits me.  They are very light, so I could definitely see myself putting them on my head and if they fell off I wouldn't notice! Yes they have all brands of sunglasses from low-end to high-end.  I'm hoping to purchase this pair of Fendi's from them soon to replace the ones I broke in December :-(.

I decided to debut my new glasses at a Haydee Callejas Handbag trunk show hosted by Mon Venin and Carrie Ann Boutique.  I just bought these pieces and I've been dying, to wear the blue top, so no time like the present right? I kind of went for an all blue theme, via different shades of course.  My shoes are colorblocked, and add some fun to this easy, breezy outfit.
