Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
I have to apologize for the "lack" of outfit posts lately...it's really because I have nothing that fits me in my closet, so I've been struggling to find things to wear. It's been a kick in the butt to get motivated and STAY motivated on my weight-loss goals. Anyhoo, enough about that, today's outfit is from this past Saturday. I wore this ensemble to a church event Saturday night call The 429. It's held at one of Houston's many churches and is named after the scripture Deuteronomy 4:29 (see above). It was a cool service, though I admit I was struggling a bit with the passing of my friend to liver cancer 2 weeks ago, and trying to reason in this service. I think that's normal for most people who experience loss...after-all we are only human!
Back to my outfit...I'm also transitioning to natural hair from "processed (aka relaxed) hair so my stylist did this really cute look on my hair on Friday.  It was raining, and my jeans tend to be a longer than I would like for a rainy day, so I decided to go out with a self-made cuff (hence why they are uneven). I wore this look with flats, but for a dressier look, opt for a pair of heels.

  1. Nice vest. Your accessories are really cute!!!

  2. I love your accessories! I can relate about not having anything that fits you. Try maxi dresses and loose tunics for a while. Congrats on going natural. I did that about five years ago and did the big chop too and then for the first time in my life saw my hair reach the middle of my back.

    1. Thanks for the tip LV! I really wish I had some more tunics in my wardrobe! Annoyed that I don't have any! I need to pick up some! Wow that's amazing! I'm definitely even more encouraged now to go natural! :-)

  3. Very cute! Love the Bible verse. God bless ya!
