Today's post is on Houston Fashion Bloggers Official April Meetup: Swapnista.  I've had the privilege of connecting with some amazing bloggers around the world, including Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays from Atlanta, Georgia.  Keren started Swapnista in Atlanta, and approached me about bringing this fun event to Houston.  I definitely wanted to help her, but I was so swamped that I knew I wouldn't be able to give it 100% and I don't like to do anything if I can't give it 100%, so the lovely Julia Smith of Buxom Chick took over the reigns of working with Keren to bring us our fabulous April Meetup!

Dress: New York & Company
Sandals: Chinese Laundry (DSW) - Similar
Lipstick: Impassioned (MAC)
Nails: OPI
Belt: Don't remember,

I wish I would have remembered to take off that neon wristband, before taking my blog photos for the day! hahaha. Anyway, I told myself not to buy anything when I was in PA this past week, but I just can't seem to help myself with I go to King of Prussia Mall....something about that Mall makes me buy. But also I've been wanting this dress from New York & Company since before Easter, but it appears to have run out of my size in every New York & Co in Houston, so when in Rome...lol.I added the belt to give myself more shape How would you have styled this dress?

The premise of Swapnista is best described by the creator herself, on her facebook page:
SWAPNISTA is a chic, savvy and eco-friendly way to update your wardrobe. Ladies bring their once-loved fashionable clothing, shoes & accessories to swap for new-to-you items that others bring. We also get donations from generous retailers & our celebrity friends. A small participation fee includes a shopping bag, GLAM goodie bag, a complimentary beauty service, and a raffle ticket for door prizes & giveaways. All unclaimed items and/or a percentage of proceeds benefit a nonprofit whose work is dedicated to improving women's lives.

Time to get our Swap On

8 Houston Fashion Bloggers participated in the Style Wars portion of the event. Each blogger had to style themselves in their favorite spring trend.  Can you tell what each blogger's trend was? Timi of Naturale Chronicles was the winner with her interpretation of the Peplum trend. The winner received a $100 gift card to Addison Memorial and a custom designed clutch by Spoiled Diva.
