Alley Theater - A Christmas Carol

Thursday, December 15, 2011

This past Sunday, my friends and I went to see Alley Theater's A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas.  It was cool production...definitely a "unique" way of portraying Charles Dickens' Classic.  Watching A Christmas Carol is a family tradition of mine, as I'm sure it is for many families around the world. When I was younger it used to scare me because I always hated the Grim Reaper 3 visitor guy...he was so creepy!!! Now that I'm older the story is just as fabulous, but I obviously understand it a lot more.  Dickens was a brilliant author and how amazing is it that years after his death he is still a part of pop culture!

Blazer: New York & Company
Necklace: DuO Houston
Dress: Express
Tights: Hue (Macy's)
Ankle Boots: Christian Siriano for Payless

I was inspired to wear this outfit  from this look I saw in White House|Black Market's new catalog. I loved the red velvet jacket they are selling and I loved it even more against the all black ensemble. I've had in my possession for some time now 2 velvet blazers from New York & Company circa 2006, one burgundy and one navy I busted the burgundy one out, and wore it with my black dress!

Really cool tights from Hue! I love the dots and the spiral cut-out
