I love this dress, and had been dying for another chance to wear it...ENTER Fashion Houston Day 3. I decided to go with burgundy accessories to offset the black dress. The polka dot shoes were great, but they were a little big, so I looked funny walking in them! But I couldn't NOT buy them just because they weren't in my size, right?

Dress: Express
Flower Hair Clip: Flowers From Fatima
Pumps: Madden Girl (Burlington)

Day 3 kicked off with local Houston designer and Season 2 Project Runway winner Chloe Dao.  Chloe's name has come up a few times here on my blog over the last month or so.  Fashionably Houston held their official launch party at Lot 8 Boutique co-owned by Chloe and her sister Sydney.  Chloe's looks screamed Spring and Summer, lighting up the room with polished and well-tailored pieces.  The best part about Fashion Houston is that the designers were accessible. After their respective shows they would take seats in the crowd and take pictures with their fans. I was able to snap a picture with Chloe (below). She is wearing one of her dresses from her Spring 2012 Collection.

Camilla Franks' designs followed Chloe Dao's show.  This lady can make a Caftan like none other! I for one have never worn a caftan, or really paid much attention to one, but after Camilla's show I think I could become obsessed with them!! Before her show we were treated to a video presentation of her discussing her design aesthetic.  Her use of print, and fabric choices was fantastic.  The movement of every piece that came down the runway literally looked like a piece of art, with the way they billowed.   I know I sound like a broken record but I seriously loved every last one of  her looks that she sent down the runway. Here are a few images from her website. Check out my montage video to see the looks she shared with us during Fashion Houston.

Aren't they amazing?? I literally could wear one of these dresses everyday for the entire Summer!

Fabiola Arias's show came with headpieces galore. The fascinators were amazing and very well crafted. They worked well with the dresses she styled them with. I also loved the texture of her dresses.  Moving from the flowing caftans of Camilla's line, we entered fitted dresses with unique detailing and flattering fits.  Here is a picture of some of her dresses from her website:

Closing Fashion Houston Day 3 was Norman Ambrose. I might have to go so far and say that this was my 2nd favorite show of the entire week. You'll see my number one favorite on Sunday. Norman's show appealed to me because it was shiny...hahaha. I always tell people that "I'm temporarily distracted by a bright and shiny objects." It doesn't take much to make me ooh and ahh...but drool...yes that takes more effort. Every last one of his looks looked rich and luxurious. They reminded me of metal; gold, silver, and copper. Everything was perfectly tailored, and the models looked amazing. He had everything from pantsuits to fabulous show-stopping gowns. I'm definitely his newest fan! Here are photos from his website of his looks from his Spring 2012 collection.

Chloe Dao After Party
After closing night 3 at Wortham, many of the guests headed over to Venue Lounge to hang out with Chloe Dao for her after party! Venue is a great location, and it was decorated perfectly for the event. There were free samples of Hypnotiq's newest flavor Harmonie, and chocolate sweets. Mannequins showcasing Chloe Dao's collections were on display, along with fabulous shoes and handbags from Elaine Turner. Everyone was mingling, taking photos, dancing, and having a great time!

And to close out this post. Here is my video Montage of the 4 runway shows from Day #3
