Over the years I have been told by friends and strangers that they like the way I dress. I do not presume to be the end all, know it all of fashion, but I do have some tips that I think will work for mostly everyone.  First and foremost I do not bother myself with having the newest and greatest trend or wearing a label.  My blog is for the Career Girl on a budget. However, splurging on some items every now and then never hurt anyone!

If you have any questions for me, or any posts you would like for me to consider please comment directly on one of my blog posts or shoot me an email at Shasie@live-life-in-style.com. I will try and answer as quickly and as best as I can.

Here's a little bit about myself. I'm 26 and a Chemical Engineer. So what's an engineer doing blogging about fashion? Well, the truth is, I like what I do at work, but I'm not passionate about it. My passion is fashion (such an overused cliche line, but it's true). I thought a blog would be a great way to dabble in this passion of mind and help address the needs of ladies that are not being represented in the fashion industry. When's the last time Vogue featured a plus-size model, or an African-American model? Or what about affordable clothes for the woman who can't afford Gucci? Many woman in the world love fashion, and these same women are being left out. It's time for a change.

  • My Style: Out of the box - I do like some trends, but not every trend is meant for everyone. And not everything you see on the runway should spill into your closet
  • Spending Style: Frugalista, I tend to stay clear of high-end couture and look for outfits that match or are similar in my budget
  • Favorite Fashion Magazine: Instyle Magazine. If you do not already have a subscription to this magazine, I suggest you do so.

Well ladies (and gentlemen), please look out for my upcoming posts. I hope this blog will help you find your personal style!

  1. My favorite fashion magazine is Lucky. They don't really showcase a lot of top designers, but I like it because they also feature affordable pieces.

  2. Congrats Lady! The blog looks great and has needed advise. I was just telling Val this weekend that I might have to go to her/your hair stylist, sinc emine is "away". I lok forward to more.

I love reading your comments, however please do not leave comments asking for following swaps. I would prefer that you follow my blog because you love the content and not because you want me to follow your blog back.
