ELLE TALK'S SUNSET HAPPY HOURMonday, April 03, 2017
A few weeks ago, I attended one of my favorite blogger gal pals' blogger event at Elan Heights. Michelle, from Elle Talk hosted a cool sunset happy hour at Elan's Sky Lounge. You may remember that Michelle is the one who gave me the fabulous strawberry champagne recipe for my Blogger Valentine's Day party back in February. I love following Michelle's blog because she has fabulous content and amazing photos. I also wish I was as creative as her when it comes to cocktails, but I'm just happy to have a go-to person for recipe ideas! And in true Elle fashion, there was no shortage of cocktail options at the happy hour. A bartender was on site to provide us with one of the following 3 options: Elan Sunset, Houston Sour, & Elle's Salty Blog.

Once I was all set with my Elan Sunset cocktail, I headed to the fabulous dessert area. Prior to this event, I had never heard of Harold's but I was super happy to learn about them at the event. They provided really yummy desserts for Michelle and her guests. I also appreciated this event because I was able to get to know some other bloggers in Houston that I don't see that often. Some of the bloggers I only knew via social media and this was our first time meeting in person. Others were new to me and I love making new blogger connections in Houston!
And speaking of new connections, the Assistant Manager for Elan Heights was also at the party and she was kind enough to take some of us on a tour around the community. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I've been crazily looking for a new place to move to this Summer. I started off looking at townhomes but recently I've fallen in love with the concept of a high-rise in the city. One day I do want a home, but I don't want one by myself. I barely have time to take care of my 1 bedroom apartment, no less a big home. Plus I've always wanted to live in the city and have amazing views. Elan isn't exactly in the city, but it's right outside of it, and some of the apartments have amazing views of the city. I instantly fell in love with this community after touring a model and viewing all of the amenities. It's definitely in my top 3 places to move into this Summer!
