LLIS TRAVELS: SAN ANTONIO NIGHT ONE

Wednesday, January 18, 2017

The day after Christmas, my parents and I road-tripped to San Antonio. This was my second time visiting the city and my parents' first time.  They've been to Houston 3 times now and while there's still a lot for them to see in Houston, we decided to check out some of the other cities in Texas. Now we are going to make a tradition to go to a new city, every time they come down for a visit! I'm thinking I will take them to either Austin or New Orleans next time! Anyway, back to our San Antonio road-trip. The road-trip was a lot of fun! We packed all of the Christmas CDs that we gave each other for Christmas and caught up on social issues. I had to stop at Buc-ee's because we don't have Buc-ee's in Pennsylvania, and I wanted my parents to see it. My parents were very impressed. They even purchased a little Buc-ee's souvenir!

We planned our trip so that we arrived in San Antonio at night. I wanted my parents to view the Riverwalk with all of the lights. I picked out a great hotel in the Historic District for us to stay in! It was only a 10 min walk to the Riverwalk. We checked in and headed out. The weather was great in San Antonio! I had my camera with me and snapped everything from a squirrel and to the moon. I tried to reign in my photos for this post; but I just LOVE taking photos! Since it was the day after Christmas, all of the Christmas decorations were still up around the city and at the Riverwalk, making it an even better time for photos. We entered the Riverwalk from the street-level and headed in the direction of the mall. We took time to just sit and take in the gorgeous views and the tranquility of the area. After I stuffed my face with food in the mall, we  walked around.  Check out the photos below from our night-time adventure.
