WHAT I WORE: Halloween 2016Tuesday, November 01, 2016
This year for Halloween, I had two costumes! Since Halloween fell on a Monday this year, I kicked off my costume wearing on Friday night. After I left work on Friday, I attended several events before I met up with some friends in Midtown. 5 of us in the group decided to go out with a theme: Harry & Ashley dressed up as Kylo Ren and BB-8. Ashley is 7 months pregnant, and the inflatable BB-8 costume was awesome to mask/protect her baby bump! Alex and Ryan went as Han and Princess Leia, and I decided to go as Rey from The Force Awakens. I have to admit that we looked pretty awesome! I was a little bummed that more people didn't know who I was. I guess some people just aren't die-hard Star Wars fans that way I am! I had to keep telling people who I was, even with my staff.
On Saturday night, my blogger friend, Lisa Carey at Money Saving Parent hosted a "Bewitching" Halloween party at her new home in Katy! Since the theme was "witches", I picked up a witch costume to wear to her party. I felt that the costume was almost too short, so I paired it with black leggings and my new Over The Knee Steve Madden boots. Being a witch is a super common Halloween costume, and yet I've never been a witch. Even as a kid, I was never a witch. Finally at the age of 32, I fulfilled a Halloween basic.

And last but not least, my company hosted an employee Halloween party yesterday at work, where we were encouraged to come dressed up. I had to choose between Rey and the witch, and I decided to go with my witch costume! I was happy to see that some of my other colleagues dressed up as well!
