WHAT I WORE: GRAYSCALE

Sunday, November 20, 2016

Last Sunday was definitely a whirlwind day for me. In fact, the entire weekend was super busy. Sunday morning, I met up with Nicole from Lipstick & Brunch at Corner Street Bakery, then I headed to the Nutcracker Market for some Holiday shopping with Ashley and Katy. After the Nutcracker Market, I met up with Jillian from Cup of Charisma and Jaclyn from Beauty and the Binky to try out Houston's first Shake Shack.  It was definitely a fun, but long day! Before heading to the Nutcracker Market, I wanted to stop somewhere and take photos of my outfit for the blog. I always have my tripod with me. You just never know when you may be driving and find an unexpected photo shoot location. I originally planned to take my photos in front of the huge Degas exhibit ad on the outside of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH). I thought the contrast of my all gray look would be great against the Degas wall. However, en route, I noticed this stone wall to the right of me, right before I crossed the street to hit up the MFAH.

I have no idea how long this sculpture garden has been sitting here across from MFAH. I'm just happy that I stumbled upon it. I entered and was quickly mesmerized by all the sculptures inside. I decided that my outfit of the day photo shoot would happen in the garden. I walked around the space and picked out my two favorite areas for photos.  The sculptures I picked were perfect because they were mounted against the gray wall enclosure of the garden.  It definitely made the photo shoot look like...well...50 shades of gray!

Studded shoes are definitely on my list of faves. They will never get old to me!

I'm still in love with this necklace that I bought for a steal at The Cottage Shop.
My 'ol faithful Tory Burch frames...it is time for me to get some new glasses though!
It's not all green inside the sculpture garden! There's some green too!
