JOIN ME: Holiday Pop-Up Kitchen with Macy's Culinary Council Chef Ming Tsai

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

As my long-term readers know, I'm a huge fan of the Macy's Culinary Council.  I've featured several of their Chefs and Council events on my blog over the years.  However, in case this is your first visit to my site, or first time hearing about the Council, here's a little bit more information: The Culinary Council is an amazing initiative started by Macy's over 10+ years ago. It features some of the country's most world-renown Chefs: Rick Bayless, Michelle Bernstein, Cat Cora, Tom Douglas, Todd English, Marc Forgione, Johnny Iuzzini, Stephanie Izard, Marcus Samuelsson, Nancy Silverton, Wolfgang Puck, Takashi Yagihashi & Ming Tsai.  The Chefs travel around the country hosting cooking demonstrations at different Macy's. You can read about each of the chefs and check out their recipes here.

In preparation for the Holiday Season, the Chefs are traveling around the country again to provide useful cooking tips for those Holiday parties and dinners you're planning to have. In Houston, Chef Ming Tsai, famous for his delicious east meets west cuisine, will be town on Monday, December 5th! He'll be hosting a cooking demonstration at Macy's Houston Galleria Mall at 6 pm on Level 2.  He'll be sharing cooking tips and culinary stories. The best part? The event is free and the audience will get to sample the food. Annnnddd, if you make a home purchase of $35 or more, you'll receive a copy of Chef Ming's cookbook, Simply Ming, that the Chef will sign for you at the event! How cool is that? If you would like to attend this Holiday Pop-Up Kitchen,  please call 1-877-556-2297 to RSVP.  I'll be at the event, and I hope to see you there!

Ming Tsai launched his career with pastry chef Pierre Herme before training in Osaka with Sushi Master Kobayashi! Ming opened his first restaurant Blue Ginger in Massachusetts and immediately took the culinary scene by storm by winning “Best New Restaurant” by Boston Magazine. The James Beard Foundation also named him the “2002 Best Chef Northeast”. His flair for innovative cuisine makes him the perfect resource for holiday entertaining!
