DRYEL: I Never Have to Overthink My Purchases

Wednesday, July 06, 2016

This is a sponsored post by Dryel. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

Have you ever not purchased something because you recognize the amount of after-market maintenance it would entail? I have. I hate spending an arm and a leg on something, and then having to keep spending money on it to have it dry cleaned.  Dry cleaning isn't cheap, and after awhile it starts to add up.  If you're like me, than you probably want to wear the items that you purchase as much as possible leading to more trips to the dry cleaners. I hate going the dry cleaners for the cost and the time it takes. I always forget to pick things back up risking my clothes being thrown away. With Dryel's At Home dry cleaning system, I no longer have to worry about cost or forgetting to pick them up.   I don't overthink my purchases anymore, because I know I have a system at home that will take care of them.  A good example of these high maintenance purchases were the ones I bought for my birthday weekend:

I purchased three heavily sequined gowns to choose from for my birthday.
For my birthday this year, I had a themed 1920s party. I wanted to wear one of those long Gatsby/Flapper gowns.  I couldn't make a decision on what dress to wear, so I purchased a few to try on. I sent back a lot of the dresses, but 3 of them I liked so much that I decided to keep them and wear them for other fancy occasions (I don't have many, but every now and then I do!).  I wore the first dress on the left for my birthday and the middle dress the day after for my friend's black-tie wedding. I have yet to wear the third one, but since it's been sitting in my closet for awhile I decided to refresh it using the Dryel system as well.

If you remember my first post on the Dryel kit, than you know how simple it is to use! But just in case you forgot, you can check out my video below showing how to use the kit.  Basically you open up the Dryel bag, throw in a few of your garments and then the dry-cleaning cloth. You then place the bag in the dryer (not the washer) for 15 minutes for refresh, or 30 minutes for deep-clean.  Since these 3 dresses are all pretty heavy, I did the first dress by itself, and the other 2 dresses together.  I'm always nervous with gowns like this, that the beading will fall-off, which is one of the reason they are "dry-clean only." After removing all the dresses from the unit, my sequins were intact!! That's the advantage of this system using the dryer instead of the washing machine. While the dryer does spin, it's not as aggressive as the washing machine.

All three dresses post the Dryel Dry Cleaning. Sequins & color intact!

Overall, I'm still very much in love with the Dryel At Home Dry Cleaning System. I use it regularly, and it's really afforded me the comfort of being able to buy whatever I want, without overthinking my purchases.

Have you used the Dryel At Home Dry Cleaning System yet? What are your thoughts?
