WHAT I WORE: Cold Shoulder - Summer EditionWednesday, June 22, 2016
In part 3 of my dream home outfit series, I took a tour of the master bathroom, the upstairs office, and the indoor/outdoor terrace. I've always wanted a more functional bathroom, and by functional, I mean HUGE! This bathroom had all the space a gal could ever need. There was even a vanity next to the shower where I could touch-up my makeup. The bathroom also led to the master closet, which was so nice that I can't show you pictures because it hurt my feelings (just kidding! If you scroll to the bottom of this post, I share a shot of the closet from the realtor. But I'm not kidding on the hurt my feelings...it really did! I want it!)
The office was located upstairs on the 3rd floor. This room could really be any room that you want it to be. I'd even consider making it be my exercise room if I lived in here, or a food staging area for outdoor parties. However, it's very nice as an office as well, especially with the amazing view! I can only imagine how nice it would be a night to sit in this room and gaze outside with the larger than life windows. The windows opened up to the terrace, and next to the office was a door to access it. The terrace was opened to the outdoors but semi-enclosed because it had a roof. I thought this was a great idea, especially if you plan to host an outdoor party and it starts to rain. The terrace roof also had lights installed, for nighttime parties, or just reading outside at night.
For shooting in all of these spaces, I chose to wear my new floral print cold-shoulder top from Nordstrom. I love cold-shoulder tops and I featured a heavier sweatshirt version here. I also love the off-the-shoulder trend that's so popular this Summer, but the whole wearing a strapless bra thing is non-ideal for me. When your well endowed (like moi!) you don't have the option of going without a bra, and with strapless bras I spend all day pulling them up (annoying!). Soooo I get my shoulder-baring fix with cold shoulder tops like this one. This top screams tropical, and I instantly felt transported to an island while standing on the terrace. I paired it with white linen pants and a boater's hat to finish off the vacation vibe. I'm also rocking my brand new sandals from Michael Kors. I love these sandals! They are super comfy. I've even worn them to work!
Thank you to Leena Vuor for these amazing photos!
Here's a picture of the closet from the website. Also it looks like the price of the home has dropped from $1,499,000 to $1,475,000! Better scoop it up now!
|Can you see now why it hurts my feelings! Look at all this space! Now THIS is a walk-in closet!|
