WHAT I WORE: Red & FloralsTuesday, May 31, 2016
As soon as I knew that I'd be hosting my Style Pass It On event at Tarakaan, Asian Bistro & Lounge, I immediately knew what color I wanted to wear; red. I settled on red after perusing pictures of Tarakaan online. I noticed that the restaurant had a low-light dining ambiance with an illuminated Buddha at the back of the restaurant against a vibrant red wall. Also I tend to gravitate toward the color red and florals when I think of Asian inspired prints. I also knew that I wanted to wear a cocktail dress so that I could show off the great pair of pantyhose that L'eggs gifted to me. When I stumbled upon this dress at New York & Company, I knew it was the one, and I definitely said, "Yes!" to the dress! It was absolutely perfect for the occasion, fitting everything that I was looking for: cocktail dress length, red, and floral print. I also fell in love with the bow tie collar. Shout out to Eva Duplan at Eva Duplan Illustrations and Lauren Zinn of Zinn Photography for capturing these shots for me outside of the restaurant.
