WHAT I WORE: Jumpsuit RemixWednesday, May 25, 2016
It's no secret that I love jumpsuits. In fact, solid black jumpsuits are my favorite and I own 5 of them. I'm pretty sure I've showcased each one on the blog before, but none ever like this. I was inspired to create this look due to the weather and it's such a cute way to remix! I was heading out to the HCC Fashion Show in just the jumpsuit and had a last minute thought that it may be cold inside the building (Houston establishments tend to overcompensate for the heat outside by turning indoors into artic tundras) and I didn't want to freeze. I thought about grabbing my denim jacket and was annoyed with the aspect of making my purse heavier by stuffing it in there. Then I thought what if I just wore a shirt OVER my jumpsuit and style it as pants, and then I thought OR what if I wear this jumpsuit like a pair of coveralls and put a shirt underneath. And there you have it folks. My overly simplified way of putting together a look. I knew I really wanted to wear a color that contrasted with the black, and what better color than it's opposite, white. I grapped this cute tie-front shirt from Forever 21 and paired it with this jumpsuit from The Gap. I was really pleased with how the look turned out. It was super comfy, and the shirt was light enough that I didn't die walking outside, but long-sleeved for indoors. What fun ways have you styled your jumpsuits?
