WHAT I WORE: Cold ShoulderTuesday, April 05, 2016
If it appears that my outfit post are all over the place between "cold" weather looks and "hot" weather looks, it's because they are! All over the place is just the tip of the iceberg to describe Houston's weather. For example, today at 7am it was 48 degrees. I checked my weather app expecting to see that it would only be a high of 60 degrees, but nope, high of 82 predicted for the day. So in the span of one day, I experienced a full range of temperatures from 48 to 82. No wonder all of us seem confused. When I lived up north my family and I would put clothes away for seasons at a time. Once winter was done, our winter clothes were packed up for the Summer. I definitely can't do that here.
Today's outfit post features a relatively average grey sweatshirt from forever 21 but with the cut-out shoulders it now becomes chic. In case you aren't familiar with the fashion term for this style, it's called cold shoulder. Don't ask me why in the dead of winter, I would want to wear a sweatshirt with the shoulders cut-out...because I don't. Hence, why I'm wearing this sweatshirt on a relatively mild day, but not a freezing cold day! I liked that this sweatshirt was kind of fitted, so to offset that, and show my ultimate comfort with this top, I paired it with my favorite pair of Harem pants. Favorite pair? Yes, I admit that I own more than one pair of pants like this! Don't judge me! Anyway, I also wore this look to day 2 of Thrive back in February. It was a great outfit to attend a conference in, because it was comfortable and still cute enough for the plethora of photos that were taken. To give the look just a little bit of pizazz I added my custom color bar Kendra Scott necklace and Alexis Bittar earrings.
