WHAT I WORE: Cinderella, Meet the Color Wall

Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Thank you to Coco & Duckie for this amazing Cinderella necklace. I had a great time styling it for this shoot.

I love owning unique pieces of jewelry.  It's just something about owning an item that no one else has, or very few people have, and that's what I love about the jewelry offered by Coco and Duckie.  As soon as I saw this Cinderella necklace on their website, I had to have it! Isn't it just the coolest? Her crown is in the silhouette of her kingdom, and she's wearing a shimmery slipper for a necklace. Cinderella was also one of my favorite Disney movies when I was growing up. I loved the mice in the film, Jaq and Gus and how they called her Cinderelly (or is it Cinderellie?). This may also explain why, way into my adulthood I shorten most people's name to end in ie or y! hahaha. I'll be featuring a couple different jewelry options from Coco and Duckie on the blog this week, and I can't wait for you to check them out. You can definitely find something that fits your unique sense of style.

Since Cinderella turned into a princess, I thought it was only fitting that I dressed to the nines to style this necklace. This is actually one of my favorite dresses and I've only worn it three times! Go figure, right?! It's from Asos Curve, and I bought it last year to host a party at a luxury furniture store. It was the perfect backdrop to the gold necklace. I didn't want to wear anything that would compete with the necklace being the focal point, so a solid color was definitely a win. Not to mention that the dress looked amazing up against all the colors on the new Sugar & Cloth color wall! This wall is definitely a blogger's paradise. If you follow bloggers in Houston, be fair warned that you're about to see a PLETHORA of color wall blog posts! At least until the novelty of it all wears off! Me? Personally, I don't think it will ever get old. I'm already in love with this location and plan to have plenty of photoshoots here.  Thank you to Heather Petrey, of LA Fashion Snob for taking these photos of me!
