WHAT I WORE: Blue WallMonday, March 28, 2016
Every now and I then I end up taking "outfit of the day" photos when (and where) I least expect them. That happened with this look. I ended up taking these photos in the parking garage at Rice Village! I was headed back to my car after brunch at one of my favorite spots, Black Walnut Cafe, and I noticed a couple blue walls in the garage. At first I thought nothing of them, but then I was like...hey these would make for great backdrops with this outfit and bring out the blue of my shades. So right then and there, I popped the trunk and pulled out my trusty tripod and took a few photos. I even ventured from the blue walls to the beige wall! Hahaha.
I actually wore this outfit to work a few weeks ago. Every now and then I'll wear a dress or skirt to work. For those of you who don't know, I work as an Engineer during the day time, and wearing a dress isn't always ideal. It's non-ideal for the days I go out into the plant I can't wear a skirt so I end up having to change into full coveralls, but it's worth it to change up my wardrobe. I liked this look so much, that I wore it again for brunch! I really love this blazer by Vince Camuto. I wear it all the time to work, and it's cut for a women's shape. Not that basic boxy blazer silhouette. I also love it because it's see-through. The affect of the blazer over the sequins was really cool! And lastly, I'm a big fan of mixing prints and textures, and nothing does that more than pairing horizontal stripes with a sequin top!
