CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT WITH WOODWORK WINE RECIPE KITWednesday, January 06, 2016
The holidays are over, but I still have tons to share with you from the month of December, including my Christmas Movie Watch Party! I love Christmas, it's my favorite time of year, and I love all of the traditions that come with the holiday. I enjoy watching Christmas movies and there are so many of them nowadays, but I still have my favorites. To share in one of my favorite pastimes, I invited some friends over to watch movies. It was perfect timing, because I had just received a Woodwork Recipe Kit from food blogger and recipe creator Nick Evans and Woodwork Wine.
Nick Evans, who competed on NBC's Food Fighters and published the "Love Your Leftovers" cookbook, recently partnered with Woodwork Wine to create recipes that pair well with their wines. The woodwork kit came with a package of dry-rub seasoning, a bottle of Woodwork Cabernet Sauvignon, recipes, and a cedar board to grill chicken. As an added bonus Woodwork sent two more bottles of wine with the Woodwork kit. I planned to serve the wine and one of Nick's recipes during my watch party. Unfortunately I didn't know I'd need a grille to use the cedar board, and since I don't own a grille...no bueno, but I did go ahead and make the BBQ Glaze! I ended up just baking chicken and using the glaze as sauce. I served the dish at the movie watch party and my guests loved it! They even left with containers of the glaze to use at home on their own dishes!
|The glaze was amazing!!! I ate several pieces of chicken!|
|We settled in with glasses of wine, hot chocolate, snacks, and watching Holiday Inn!|
