WHAT I WORE: If These Walls Could TalkSunday, November 22, 2015
A fashion/style blogger's number one goal is take a great photo! Let me tell you guys, it's not easy! Due to daylight savings time we loose daylight faster than ever. Between that, and never having anyone around to take your photos, finding a way to take outfit shots can be a challenge. For years I've used my tripod has a means to take my photos, but even that becomes cumbersome. I always have to have it on me, for impromptu "location" shots, but even when I have my tripod, I don't always have my camera nor do I have the adapter that connects the camera to the tripod..smh...I know! Some days are just like that, y'all. I'm just keeping it real. I remember when I first started my blog back in 2010, I used to take photos in my apartment, and I still do sometimes, but the lighting isn't the greatest, but when it gets dark at 5:30 pm, you sometimes don't have a choice! Anyway, I love keeping it real with all of you, so this is why I talk about how I take my shots, and scheduling time to take my photos.
I'm sure you guys remember that I had an intern last year, Evelyn Casas! Evelyn was great, and she has since moved on to her own blog now, but we recently got together with my friend, Leena to take some outfit photos. We picked River Oaks District to take some photos. The walls at River Oaks District are amazing, and they make for great backdrops for style photos (see above!). I put this particular look together to show how I, as a plus-size & fabulously curvy girl styles crop tops. Some people will tell you that curvy girls, can't wear the same clothes, trends, styles as regular size girls, and I'm hear to tell you different. We can wear everything and anything that we want, and that's exactly what these walls would say.
