WHAT I WORE: Maxi-LoveThursday, September 10, 2015
Nothing is an easier outfit than a Maxi dress. It's seriously the most effortless piece of clothing ever. Even better, if you pick out a Maxi dress with a cool print, you don't even have to worry about accessories! However, because I love accessories, I wear them with everything, even with dresses that can potentially stand on their own two feet like this Maxi dress from Target. Every now and then I walk into Target and have these crazy shopping sprees. I love Target clothes! Not only do they offer plus-sizes, but most of the pieces are affordable. This particular dress was purchased about a month or two ago on a whim, because I needed to change into a dress to go to a play that I bought last-minute tickets too. I bought the tickets on a Saturday while out and about in shorts and a tank, and didn't have enough time to go home and change. Luckily, this girl here keeps shoes in her trunk like it's going out of style, and there was a Target right around the corner.
So technically the first time I wore this dress was attending that performance of The Screwtape Letters. For it's second appearance (today's post), I paired the maxi dress with accessories and shoe options from my house, including one of my favorite baubles from the Baublebar. Maxis fit almost every body shape. They may be a little harder to pull off on shorter frames, just because of their length, but the right maxi found in a petite section can still work! I wore this dress to church and then to Marlo Hampton's "The Art of Style" event. I had some lag time between the end of church and the start of Marlo's event so I stopped to take some pictures. My church is right next to The University of Houston, and if there's any place for some nice backgrounds for pictures, it's a college campus. What do you think? How would you style this maxi?

|I hate wearing my contacts, but I can't wear shades because I can't see, so to I just buy really big shades that fit over my glasses! Haha! It's my little workaround. Don't judge me!|
