WHAT I WORE: My City

Friday, August 14, 2015

Yes, there are some weeks in which the city of Houston gets on my last nerves and I want to move, but for the most part I love my life here in the south.  So for my Friday off, two weeks ago, I ventured downtown to explore the city. I was really heading there to check out the Houston Fashion Bloggers photo collage at Green Street, but started walking around the city as well. I first stopped for lunch in the Tunnel system beneath the city. That's right, Houston has a huge underground network of tunnels full of restaurants, retail, and daily errand stops like copy places and dry cleaning. It must be nice to work downtown! It's really quite impressive, the amount of stuff that is underneath the city. After exploring the tunnel system and green street, I hopped over to one of my favorite parks from when I used to live in Montrose; Eleanor Tinsley Park. I used to walk up to this park from my apartment all the time! It has an amazing view of the city's skyline, and a great place to walk/run for exercise. I took the opportunity to take some photos with the skyline!
