PRODUCT REVIEW: Jojoba Hydrating Day CreamMonday, July 20, 2015
When it comes to skin care regimes, I get an F in that department. It's not that I don't care about my skin, I just don't have time to go through the whole daily routine of toner, exfoliatants, creams, blemish removers, etc, and I think my skin has faired pretty well over the years without doing this except for one thing....moisture. For some reason I suffer from chronic dryness of my skin. It could be the most humid day in the world, and somehow my face and scalp will find some way to be dry and peely. I have experimented with hydrating creams in the past, but the same thing always happens...after a few days, I get tired of applying it, but I was willing to try again with Australia's Jojoba Hydrating Cream. I tested out their product for a week and I liked it! The trick to making sure I put it on every day? Leaving it on my desk at work. Seriously, I spend more time at my desk than in my bathroom at home, and putting the product away with all the other lost beauty items would be useless to testing it out. So for a week (and it's still there, as I'm still using it) I would come into work and put on the hydrating cream every day. I need a moisturizer that I don't have to constantly reapply throughout the day, and Jojoba was that product! I would put a little bit of it on in the morning and for most of the day my skin would stay hydrated! I'll be eager to try it again in winter months, when the outdoor elements are harsher. I also liked the consistency of the cream. It wasn't too oily, and heavy. It was very light, and had an interesting smell, that I can only assume is the sent of jojoba. I sometimes hate creams and lotions where the scent is too strong, because I still want to be able to wear my perfumes while wearing lotion, and don't want to scents to mix.
In addition to the cream itself, I thought the packaging and the bottle were both pretty cool. The top of the box looks like jojoba seeds for the design and the lotion has a pump dispenser. I have to say that I've NEVER seen a lotion or cream container with a pump dispenser. They almost always have a dispenser style like that of toothpaste, or a jar with a lid. It was a pretty cool change! Everytime I used the day cream, I thought of hand soap! It was a nice, and efficient way to discharge the lotion, because you could control the amount! All and all, I really liked this product, and I plan on checking out some of their other products. Other products you say? Yes! If you visit Jojoba's website, they offer products based on your skin type; sensitive, oily, combination, uneven, dry, blemish prone, and age-defying. And when you click on each skin type, there's a suggested skin routine listed for each one!

So maybe hyrdating isn't what you need, especially if you have oily skin, but there's bound to be a product for you to try out, so why don't you! If you try out anything from Jojoba, be sure to let me know!
