EVENT RECAP: Modani's Wine Dine & Design EventMonday, March 09, 2015
On Thursday, February 26th, I co-hosted an event with Modani Furniture at their Houston location in the Galleria area. It was a fun event, and the first of it's kind that I've had the privilege of attending! I spend a lot of my time running around to fashion events around the city, but this was the first time I attended an event with the focus being on furniture and interior design. I never like to lump myself into one category and I'm always up for trying something new! Yes, I love fashion, but I also love interior decor (obsessed with all the finished houses on all HGTV shows), so when the reps for Modani contacted me and asked me to be their featured blogger for the event, I happily accepted. As the featured blogger, my logo was included on all press materials, and on the events red carpet step and repeat. Modani also had me give a 2 minute speech during the event!
This was actually my first time stepping foot into Modani. I had never heard of the store before they contacted me, and as any good blogger/journalist does, I researched the brand before accepting the hosting gig! I loved all of the cool contemporary pieces that they offered, and they were very reasonably priced! I was actually shocked at the sticker price on some of the items as I expected them to be way higher! When I arrived on the night of the event, the showroom was even better! I love how the owners of this particular store created unique spaces around sets of furniture, from outdoor patio furniture to bedrooms. There were tons of locations in the store to take photos, including my own VIP partner space!
The event was really fun! A lot of my blogger friends came, and I met a bunch of new people that either were clients of Modani, or work/worked in the interior design business. It's always fun to mingle with people outside of your industry, and you never know where your next collaboration will come from! After my speech, in which I talked about the important synergy between fashion and interior decor, several people came up to meet me and asked for contact information. You'll never know where these opportunities can lead and I am the QUEEN of networking! Enjoy my photos from the event below! I'll be sharing the professional photographer's photos later this week!
