MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK: Tadashi Shoji Spring 2015 CollectionFriday, September 05, 2014
Ever since I discovered Tadashi Shoji, two February's ago, I have been in love with his design aesthetic and his 2015 Spring Collection did not disappoint. Tadashi has a unique, signature look that he applies to his garments, through his use of sheer fabrics and lace. Fashion enthusiasts can always tell a Tadashi Shoji garment without seeing the label. I appreciated the length of Tadashi's Spring day dresses; knee-length. Modest lengths are definitely making a come-back and they are uber-feminine. A girl only needs to show a little leg to be sexy. They also provide working girls, like myself more dress options for work and company functions. I can picture the dress above on First Lady, Michelle Obama. Tadashi used stripes and mosaic prints for Spring, and re-introduced his popular cape-dress silhouette. There were also a few, cute crop top ensembles. Overall, Tadashi's collection was my favorite from Day 1 of New York Fashion Week.
