MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK: Charlotte Ronson Spring 2015 CollectionSaturday, September 06, 2014
I was unable to attend Charlotte Ronson's Spring 2014 Presentation last September due to a conflicting show, but this year, I was able to make it! Charlotte's show was packed and featured a slew of celebrity guests that posed with Charlotte for press photos. I enjoyed the simplicity of the presentation. It allowed the focus to really be on the clothes. The models rotated to allow each look to be at a focal corner for optimum photos. Charlotte's collection was girlie and featured boxy, lose fitting silhouettes. Most of the collection featured solid blues in hues from pastel to navy, but there were a few prints sprinkled here and there along with a pastel peachy hue. The collection gave off a laid-back California girl style. The models were styled with easy, slicked back hair and what looks to be the most comfortable "Jesus" sandals in the world! At first I was taken aback by the sandals paired with such girlie looks. I obviously expected to see pumps and/or heeled sandals, but I liked the looks with the sandals. The clothes, by themselves, clearly convey that they can be worn for a cute brunch or going out, but with the sandals the wearer can envision these looks working for a casual day of running errands. There was a bit of a girl power theme throughout the room with quotes by iconic females, such as Elizabeth Taylor and Katharine Hepburn on display.
