PRODUCT REVIEW: eShakti Scalloped Trim Dress

Saturday, August 16, 2014

A little bit ago eShakti invited me to do a product review on an item from their online shop.  This was not my first time hearing of the eShakti brand. I first discovered eShakti through The Curvy Fashionista's list of plus-size brands, however I haven't had the chance to order anything from them, so I was excited to test out a product.  The rep sent me to a link with a plethora of amazing options to choose from for my test product.  I liked so many products on the list that I had to take the choice to Facebook and have my readers, friends & family help me pick the dress I would try out! In the end this is the dress that won! I loved the drop waist and the scalloped trimmed hemline in a contrast color to the dress.  I also love that it comes with pockets!

When ordering from eShakti you have a few customization options. You can choose to go with their default sizes, or send in your custom measurements. You can also change the sleeve-type and length of the skirt. I chose cap-sleeve and knee-length and went with eShakti's 1X (Size 18W) size.  I think the fit is pretty good. I maybe should have gotten a 2X to have a little more room around the bust, but then I think the rest of the dress would have been too big.  This is my second time wearing this dress. I first wore it to the Bridal Extravaganza a few weeks ago, but didn't get the shots in the dress that I really wanted. For it's "2nd" go round, I wore it to the George Kotsiopoulous for Gap Fashion Show at Houston's Premium Outlets.  It looks like it's a heavy material because the color could be associated with fall, but it's actually light and a perfect summer dress!
